You're reading When you play the lottery, do you have faith or hope that you will win?
Comments
So is it hope? I am under the impression that "faith" is more of a belief that people see as fact. So if someone has faith they will win the lottery, they see it as a sure thing. If someone says they hope they will win the lottery, then they would like to see a certain result but expect reality which is losing.

I think most of us know the odds are against us.
In my case my luck is lousy but I hope and pray for a change in luck.
I have a very important cause in life. My Son is Autistic and I want to improve the quality of his life. I want to improve things for everyone in the Autistic spectrum. If I won I would have the ability to do this. THIS IS MY DREAM.

I applaud you for wanting to improve the lives of folks who are unfortunate enough to be stricken with the disability. I can relate in that I am trying to improve the lives of everyone. It may sound unrealisticly idealistic, but I have found the fun comes in the journey and not the destination.

You sound young but it is cool.
I am over Forty and have been a full time Mom for Years.
The Educational System in this country and the world for Autistic people is beyond bad. ABA works and can be documented. NYC. Teachers still have not been trained in it. I think it is time they were all trained. I think those who can not do thinks right should be fired. MONEY GIVES YOU THE POWER TO CHANGE THINGS FOR THE BETTER!!!

But it also gives power to those who don't wish things to change for the better. Think Exxon Mobil's desire to keep putting pollutants in the air. Their desire is what politicians hear, not the taxpayers or anyone that might care.
.
Personally, I think money is the most corrupt part of our system and I think it needs to be abolished. People much smarter than I have come up with ways to do it, but it's ultimately up to the majority, and if the status quo establishment keeps its foothold on power, then it will never reach the majority.
