1) Everyone was using Google or another search engine before Answerbag existed. If Answerbag had not fulfilled a need, it could never have stayed so long out there.
2) You could find very good answers by using Google, but not everyone is able to use Google to find the answers they need.
For instance, try to google "If everyone used Google, would there even be a need for Answerbag?" (without quotes) and compare the results to the answers you get on this question. Answerbag should normally help you more.
3) Especially for conversational question, you get on Answerbag a person with whom you can communicate.
Google can only bring you to forum pages where you get this possibility.
4) On Google, you don't get points, levels and badges.
