You're reading Christians only: Do you ever feel as though God is indifferent to your good works? Why would this be false? (Christians only please.)

I appreciate your point, but the 10 Commandments obligate you the Law of Moses, not Christ. Please re-read the book of Galatians in the New Testament. Paul also explains that none of us has kept/could keep the Law perfectly (read Romans chapters 1-8).

Also, the Ten Commandments, in relation to good works towards others, is more a list of what "not to do" - not what to do. Personally in relation to others, I prefer "Love thyour neighbour as yourself"; and the fruits of the Spirit: "love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law." I enjoy putting a smile on customers' faces. I love to share a laugh with them. I love to see people who are happy. Of course, if I can, I try to help sad people feel a little happier. I guess for me, "patience" is very much something I need to work on in my life. Hm, God being indifferent? If I do something here on Earth in order to receive praise or glory of some sort; then it negates the whole concept of God making a quiet note of it "up there".
Peace and (my loving) God be with you :-)
