Some of my ancestors were Native American, but we converted to Christianity. One thing that the Native Americans did agree on is that the world is one system. They would pray before taking the life of a deer, elk, or other animal, saying something like "I'm sorry I need to take your life to make mine survive". The Native Americans "LOVED" the land, and treated it with respect. Like the message to King Arthur, "You and the land are one". If the land dies, we die. If the land grieves, so will we. If the land thrives, so will we. So, let it be.

    • from what i know the natives wouldnt be mad about the wearing of the leather but only the fact that the animal was killed just for its leather then sold off in peices for profit rather than food
