How old were you when you first got your first cellphone because my sons want phone and they are in 5th grade i thinks thats ridiculous

just got my first. I'm 32. Got by just fine travelling all over the world and my country from a very young age just by land lines...wow, amazing, eh? It makes parents lazier and less diligent. Instead of watching for trouble, the onus is on the kid to alert the parent of trouble. I wouldn't trust an 11 year old to know trouble if it hit him right in the ass.
