Because people can pick and choose which questions they answer. As for those with a LOT of answers, look at their dates. Many are most-likely a year or more old.
Remember that people will tend to answer what they can. if they don't know the answers to your question, they'll just skip it. But, somewhere, sometime, someone will answer it. That's why questions always remain open. ;-)

You're reading How come some questions get so many answers, and yet all the ones I ask are done and gone in a couple of minutes? I wouldn't say it's content, because some of the high rated questions are simple, useless questions.
