I'm attracted to a cute but shy guy, and I think he likes me too. I got his number from a friend who told him I like him. Should I call him?

Yes. Don't play any games. just call him and be honest. "I got yor number from ____ and was wondering if you would like to do something together sometime" You'll never know if you don't ask. The worst he can say is no.
