Help answer this question below.

When someone sends you a friend request if you don't notice it and/or don't answer it does the request eventually go away or do you have to respond in order for it to go away?

    No. The friend request remains until you either approve or deny the it.

    Also once you deny a request, either of you can ask for it again. Many people don't accept friend requests if they've not had some type of contact with someone. To those denied... Don't take it personally. Many of us like to have at least met the people we accept as friends. ;-)

    (NOTE: It's relatively hard not to notice, since a new bright orange "Friend Requested" (or something similar) appears in your info box (top right of almost every page) below your "Friends Q&A" and above the blue bar with "View my profile and activity" in it.)
