Other than color, is there any difference between brown and white eggs?

    No. Nutritionally they are the same and there is no discernable difference in flavor.

    The color difference is due to the specific breed of hen, according to the Egg Nutrition Center. Hens with white feathers and white earlobes will lay white eggs, whereas hens with red feathers and matching-colored earlobes give us brown eggs.

    • That is NOT true! I would invite you to come see my black hens that lay white eggs. It is determined by the color of their ear lobes, NOT the color of their feathers! Where do you get this information? No way would the Egg Nutrition Center state that information!
