Question

Help answer this question below.

I installed a remote start unit in my car and the range is at best, 20 feet. Can I extend the range by extending the antenna wire and routing it along the windshield, or will that damage the antenna and worsen my range? Do I need to use a special wire?

    • I do not understand your reply. The starter requires an antenna to operate.

    • it links into the radio antenna or it has it's own

    • it has its own, which is only about 4 inches long currently. and since it's tucked away under the dash panel pretty far, i'd imagine that's why the reception and range is terrible.
