I thought he was very funny. Jim met him once at Dean's home many many years ago. Dean was a friend of a friend and Jim doesn't remember what the occasion was but he talked to Dean for quite awhile and told me he was the nicest, most down-to-earth guy you'd ever want to meet. So that's mostly how I think of him..as being a really nice, regular guy who wasn't aloof or hoity toity or full of himself! :)

Oh me too...it happened years before Jim and I ever met. I would have loved to be the proverbial fly on the wall at any of those gatherings. I'm not so sure that other members of the rat pack were as humble and modest in person though as Dean Martin. I think Jim lucked out big time! :)
