Does it cost money to renew my Norton AntiVirus subscription, or can this be done for free?

Yes, it costs money to renew.

This is why I stopped using Norton a long time ago and switched to free anti-virus products.

If you're interested in a free product, AVG (www.grisoft.com) and Avast! offer good alternatives.
