That's a good question I don't think your heart stops but maybe the pressure might blow out your ear drum or even kill you from exerting pressure somewhere in your skull. For instance if you had and aneurysm that hadn't burst yet the pressure might do it or even open up a weak blood vessel.
My dad died from slow brain bleed. His high blood pressure weakened his blood vessels and one just opened up, not even burst.
