Why do lots of people hate pet rats?

    People stereotype, rats as evil or dirty, and they are not. If you watch television, they are synonymous with dirt and filth, which is sad because they are really sweet and loving. It is funny because I run a guinea pig rescue. My albino piggy are almost never adopted, we take them out too adoption events and it is sad as people walk by the comment on how ugly they are with red eyes and they look like rats, it is sad that the rodents get suck a bad wrap, and people can be so uninformed.

    • Yup. Its just sad that those people will never know how sweet and loving pet rodents can be (especially rats!).

    • I know. I have a pet albino rat and I think she is so cute and sweet, but all my friends absolutely don't.
