    Jesus is NOT God himself.
Jesus was SENT as a sacrifice to remove death from that portion of mankind who are obedient.
Adam caused death [ Genesis 2;16,17
So we have all inherited death since then.
Proved by the fact we all die.
Jesus paid with his life to remove it...but only from those who are obedient...this is future. Because we STILL all die.
But in the future, soon, death will be removed.
(Revelation 21:4) And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”
The payment [ Jesus' sacrifice] has already been made.
But it will only benefit the righteous [ obedient]

(Psalm 37:9) For evildoers themselves will be cut off, But those hoping in Jehovah are the ones that will possess the earth.
(Psalm 37:11) But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth, And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.
(Psalm 37:29) The righteous themselves will possess the earth, And they will reside forever upon it.
(Psalm 37:34) Hope in Jehovah and keep his way, And he will exalt you to take possession of the earth. When the wicked ones are cut off, you will see [it].

    • Jesus IS God. Everything else you say is true though. The only way that Jesus' sacrifice could be a perfect atonement for the forgiveness of sins of believers, is if he were God. No finite man, no matter how perfect, can defeat infinite sin. Only an infinite God can defeat infinite sin. Jesus was with God before creation, is the Word of God, stated clearly that the Father and He are One. I really want you to understand this as your soul is at stake in this understanding. You need to believe that Jesus is the Son of God in order to be among those who will inherit the new earth.
