While recording, the electricity went out. Now, the vcr records snow. TV is fine. Checked connections, all is fine? What else do I check?

I have a Samsung VCR which plays tapes properly except for 1 tape. It shows up with a blue screen

One in the closet the mice use, one in the trunk of the husband's car; he likes to see how they work at work. Got a third one I use for target practice.
