Yes, Acura is Honda's luxury brand in North America, just as Lexus is Toyota's luxury brand and Infiniti is Nissan's luxury brand.
Outside of North America, Honda sells all of its vehicles as Hondas.
Acura models are typically based on a Honda model, but with additional features and/or performance. The current Acura lineup includes:
Acura TSX - based on the European-market version of the Honda Accord.
Acura TL - based on the North American-market Honda Accord (larger than the European one).
Acura RD-X - based on the Honda CR-V
Acura MD-X - based on the Honda Pilot.
Acura RL - Also based on the American-market Accord.

You're reading My sister wants to know: Does Honda make Acura, in other words, is Acura apart of the Honda brand? (ex: Toyota makes Lexus, Toyota makes Scion) I think they do cause old Acura's look like old honda accords. Acura is just more luxurious!
