NO NO NO NO, Suzy, NO. Oxygen has no effect whatsoever on sperm. Desiccation (drying out) kills them. 30 minutes in thin air might kill them, but 30 minutes in a little rubber bag won't. Unless the little rubber bag is treated with spermicide, and even that will sometimes fail to kill them all.
Fisher, where do you get that "we wouldn't exist"? Normal intercourse takes them directly into the vagina without exposure to air. There's no oxygen in vaginal fluid.
