Can pet rats live on dog food?

    If all you choose to feed them is dog food then they will not be recieving the dietry requirments rats need. If you would like an easy way of feeding I suggest you go to your local pet store and buy rat mix. There may be dog biscuits in there but they will be formulated with many other grains and foods. Rice Bubbles are also very good for rats and if you are looking for a tasty treat feed them a small amount of sun flower seeds. If all you fed them was dog food their teeth may also become unhealthy. It is also encourgaed that you give them fruit and vegtables. Thanks and I hope this helps.

    • Rats can live on any food. I mean, in the wild, they eat stuff like grass, so why would dog food hurt them?
