Definitely Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. Malwarebytes is the top recommendation, for removing Malware etc. I am a computer expert myself, and i have never personally tried Trojan Remover, but Malwarebytes has been the best as it was rated 4.5/5.0 by the editors, look here.

They offer a FREE version or a PAID version. If you need the PAID version, but dont want to buy it for whatever reason, email me, and i will send you a code. With that in mind every program like the two you have mentioned will have different issues, but for Malwarebytes it has been a star. You also need a good Anti-Virus, Avg is not a good Anti-Virus so if you or anybody else is using it i advise you to use Avast instead. Avast has been around for years, and has more features, no restrictions and has very good detection rates than Avg. Here is my recommendations:
Avast and SuperAntiSpyware or Avast and Malwarebytes
Nod32 and Malwarebytes
Avg and Malwarebytes or Avg and SuperAntiSpyware
And so on. If you use Torrents, PeerGuardian 2 is a good solution to keep your privacy/downloads safe. This is what you need to keep your computer safe, but you must definitely have a Anti-Virus program.
1) Anti-Virus
2) Anti-Spyware
3) A Firewall
You can email me if you need anymore help or information.

I've recently had Vista Anti-Spyware. No icons will work, it always asks what I want to open it with, and it's annoying. Please help!
