Question

Help answer this question below.

I have an older HP pavilion 522n desktop and was wanting to change out the hard drive on it. I have been having problems finding out what would be a compatible replacement. Can anyone help?

    Your main problems here are...
    1. selecting a hard drive
    2. configuring it properly
    3. installing it without blowing the IDE controller
    4. booting up the system so you have CD-ROM drivers.
    5. installing the O/S
    6. Also note that you might want to set your old hard drive up as a slave so that you can have access to it's information and have additional storage.
