Is it wrong to smack a child that is about to do something very dangerous?

    depends on the situation. If doing something dangerous has immediate and obvious consequences that a child can understand then no. Example: touching a stove top. I can't think of any specific things give me examples and i'll let you know. I'll hit my kid if he/she is constantly rude or disrespectful but i plan on raising my kid without the need of hitting but if necessary it will be used.

    • I'm no parent but i;d research the type of possible damage that could be done if he succeeds. If there is nothing serious i'd lete him do it and experience the pain. The pain shoudl stop him if anything. If it would hurt him and do serious damage/pain i would hit him or show him a small scale of what would happen. He is clearly curious what will happen so maybe if you satisfy that curiosity he'll stop. difficult question
