Help answer this question below.

I recent survey showed that over one third of Uk homes ask guests to take their shoes off at the door.Is that what you do?

    I don't ask but they tend to take their shoes off anyway esp. seeing a pile of shoes by the doorway. And if they did ask I'd say "its up to you".

    I remember the days when I just walked into peoples' houses and kept my shoes on. The first time I was asked to take my shoes off, it felt odd but its out of habit now. It makes sense to take off shoes, you don't want to dirty the place. Could you imagine footprints on a lighter shade of carpet for example?!
