Should NYS Stings be illegal? (You know, where someone under the age to get either cigarettes or beer goes undercover to see if the cashier checks for ID)

No I think since they are "Supposed" to check for ID and if they're not doing their jobs they aren't doing it right.

Example: I was 15 and had mutton chop sideburns and stood 5' 11" and had a quart of beer which I thought the guy in front fo me (Older) was going to pay for.

My attention was distracted and so the checker (Who was the manager!) asked me "Is that all Sir?"

I replied "No that's al" and he sold me the beer...I tell you after that I didn't care if I got carded or not as it wasn't a "Infraction" then. Now you can get into big trouble and so can the clerk if either of you don't toe the line.
