Help answer this question below.
Instructions:
Step 1: Decide which of the two ways you want to modify your Xbox. You can replace the system's BIOS with a new one by installing a mod chip manually, or you can replace Dashboard, Xbox's operating system.
Step 2: Find the proper BIOS chip if you decide to install a mod chip. You must open up your Xbox console and place this in front of the Xbox BIOS chip. This will trick the console into reading the mod chip first instead of the original BIOS chip.
Step 3: Flash the mod chip if it does not have a BIOS installed, or if you want to change the pre-existing chip. Most mod chips today come with pre-installed BIOS programs that are user friendly.
Step 4: Find a new Dashboard program on the Internet if you do not wish to physically modify your Xbox system. There are a few different programs to select, so choose the one that would be the most reliable fit for your console.
Step 5: Connect the Xbox to your computer and access its files through its IP address. Replace your Dashboard with a Xbox-compliant application that can run imported games. Follow the software's installation instructions to see which files you need to load into the Xbox operating system.
Step 6: Restart the system after installing the mod chip on the Xbox motherboard or the new Dashboard software for your operating system. This will boot up the mod chip or Dashboard and you can play your international games. You have now modified your Xbox.
Tips & Warnings:
Modifying your Xbox in any way will void your console's warranty. This can also lock you out of Xbox Live, as Microsoft does not allow modified systems to access its network.

Can you patch xbox 360 games yourself? Games like, NBA 2k11 which is great but some of the player faces (Kobe, 85'86 MJ ) are terrible.
