The movies and TV are just that, fantasy. It's nothing like that in a county jail. The booking process is just tedious. Expect to sit on a steel bench for hours or maybe even all damn day. I hate booking, not because it's rough, it's just freaking boring. I sat in booking with psychos that just got locked up for killing people. lol I've been in cells with them too. I'm just lucky like that. I still like murderers more then thieves, personally.
If you stay indoors most of the time and not experiencing the world that way
can you be an still be an armchair traveler and not miss much?

What is the average cost per year to feed, clothe and give medical care to a prisoner? Serving life/say 40 years/would cost what?
