Yes it is nasty. I belive they put more additives in tobacco to make it more addicting.
I know someone who grows their own tobacco mostly because of the cost of tobacco these days and he says there is a noticeable difference in home grown tobacco as opposed to store bought.I'm not going to try it but I belive him. He claims it doesn't irritate his lungs etc as much as store bought tobacco.
