I'm thinking about moving out when I turn 18. Nothing going wrong; I just want to be more independent and have my own space. Is that age the best to move out?

I don't think there is a 'best age'. I moved out when I was 18 to go to college and I coped just fine. I knew how to cook and clean and take care of myself. A couple of my room mates, some a few years older than me, were totally clueless though. I had to teach them all kinds of basic stuff, like how to make a cup of tea and fry an egg (seriously!!)

It all depends on how mature and responsible you are. If you are not sure, you can always get a short-term lease on a rental property and see how it goes.
