You got a sweet deal. He cut you a break. Don't assume you will have that happen to you again should you shoplift again. That is petty larceny, which is the same as petty theft, not stealing that much money and/or valuables.
You could be taken to court, so plan for that. However, I don't think you will. Always plan for the worst and hope for the best. There are worse life mottos to have than that.

You're reading Here's the story : I got caught shoplifting from walmart, it like $22 total.. The guy who stopped me didn't give me a ticket or anything though. My mom just had to get me. Does anybody know what will happen? I'm 17, I live in Las Vegas.

he said something about a letter coming in the mail with a fine? But he said it might not happen because it's my fist offense and i didn't grab that much..
do you have any idea on what the chances are that i get that letter?

It seems no worse than a 50/50 situation. I would say your odds of lucking out big time are 75%. 25% is your answer. :)
