Animal populations rise and fall naturally. Sometimes massive overpopulation can be catastrophic and tens of thousands of animals will die to to starvation and disease. I don't have an issue with limited hunting aimed at stabilizing populations in national parks. Why allow animals to starve to death when they can be taken for human consumption instead.
