Oh, pure excellence in fright, sophiesmom! ( I'm always amazed that director of "The Haunting" Robert Wise went on to direct the film version of " The Sound of Music" ! Maybe Julie Harris and Claire Bloom in The Haunting could have broke out singing " My Favorite Things" when PLOT SPOILER!! the unearthly pounding and banging starts in! )
