You didn't slowly cut down? I came off Effexor about a year ago. I cut down 75mg every month. It took 5 months for me to stop altogether. I was still feeling really ill after a year. I was told by a specialist that my doctor had me cut down on them too fast. I still get dizzy and have brain zaps. I have been told that my memory loss is most probably permanent. I did not have any back or stomach cramps.

You're reading I've been off of Effexor XR about two weeks now. I am still experiencing the brain zaps, dizziness, and general irritability. When will these symptoms finally stop? Also, I now have body cramps in my back and stomach--is this related?
