Hi all,
Roughneck
In the UK it means something different - arent our countries words for things so much worlds apart - god!
In the UK it means rough families, no morals, dragged up, no hope and the circle goes on within the families. No wish to better or work etc.,
Which is totally different from your understanding of this word/phrase for a worker within the oil industry -which doesnt link with the UK anaylsis of the person who doesnt have any wish to work.
They earn a good living though Oil workers because of the risk though.
I dont know anyone unfortunately in the American term of it and avoid the British version of the term.
Phew I am done now
