How painful is it after having laparoscopic surgery to remove a gall bladder?

I had mine removed last year by laparoscopic surgery. I had pain getting up off the couch and out of bed for a few days. After the third day, I did not take anymore pain meds. Overall, the surgery and recovery went very well.
