Help answer this question below.

Need to know the dangers of eating wild rabbit....my son is in the hospital with a high white count and temp of 103 after eating wild rabbit last weekend...

    ...

    all i know is if you eat them in the summer, they have a gel in// around the meat, and that will give you rabbit fever, a very high fever. DO it sounds like that. hope he gets better.

    • If you wear gloves while processing them and cook the meat like any other meat, there is no problem with tularemia. Most people who get it now do so through other means like insect bites.
