Do you get sick of the same music playing in the supermarkets. I know the songs off my heart and I humm them because they are playing whenever I do the shopping?

  • You know why that music is there, right? It's to make you slow down and buy more - just the opposite of restaurants, where the purpose is for you to hurry up and turn the table.

There's science behind all of this, called "stimulus progression," which I find quite interesting. It makes for a great informative speech, students - hint hint.

[To answer your question, the stores I go to don't play any music, so no.]

    • Thankyou. I try not to stop and sing to it but sometimes I cant help it. So far managed not to let it tempt me to buy more though!
