Just because somebody is misguided that does not mean that they are sick but maybe they need help. Difference of opinion is fine but judgementalism is unhelpful.

Mental illness is illness (aka sickness), too. In the majority of instances, the causes are just as physiological. I bet most - if not all - of these people do need help.

im not a very religious person, but to say there is no such thing as possesion is saying there is no god. if any kind of good exists then so does evil. noone knows the awnser to that question for sure. however if it is a mental illness, and a person believes they are possesed then maybe being exorcized or something like that will help that person think they are being healed and can move on and lead a normal life. one person cant say wheather or not its possible. i have never seen it first hand but since i believe there is a god i believe its possible. by telling someone they are sick and its not real, you may as well be pushing your own religious beliefs on others and thats not fair. if the person that asks this question is religious, you have done them absolutly no good in telling them they are wrong, maybe even causeing more damage to them mentaly...

My wife was demon posessed 3 years ago. Her GPA is 4, she showed no signs of mental illness.
I am afraid u guys do not really know the limitation of modern psychiatry. The various disorder terms which invented by psychiatrist are only constructs, a set of abstract idea which agreed by their own community. Its objectivity cannot be comparable to those medical science which based on hard evidence.
modern psychiatry is based on a world view- materialism. And the area of world view is based on faith, nobody can prove it is right or wrong.

Although this is a real old comment, I just had to put my two cents in. @ prustage You are speaking on a subject that you know nothing about. If you've never seen a demon, or in the presence of a real true dark force, keep thy mouth shut.
