Just to let you know, you're not alone at all - my husband is doing 34-hr.-a week security guard work, and his schedule is weird! It is: Monday off; Tuesday, noon to 8:30 PM; Wed., 1 PM to 9:30 PM; Thursday off; Friday, 10 AM to 6:30 PM, Saturday, 4 PM to 8:30 PM, and Sunday, noon to 6:30 PM. Or something close to that. He never has 2 days off in a row. And on the weekends, he works over on the West Side (Santa Monica area), and during the week, it's at the Grove/Farmer's Market. He is making the best of it - he is also a termite operator with a (very) small business, and does small gigs here and there! The schedule bugs him, BUT at least it's steady income, and he's very grateful for THAT. In this economy, you can't easily "pick and choose" the way you might like!!...

You're reading How do you lead a "normal" life when your days off constantly change? In my case, I work three days and get two off - so its like a five day work week, in a sense.
