Help answer this question below.

One TV was plugged into the wall, the other wasn't when the problem started, but somehow they have the same problem whether cable is plugged in or not. The TV's have a vertically compressed screen and distorted, compressed to about 4 inches.

    you have two sets with vertical foldover, that happens - without a model number we can offer nothing for advise here
