Tramadol does amsolutely nothing. I think you may have tricked yourself into feeling something... but it does nothing. Depending on how much Vicodine u have taken before... I got up to 30 a day of the 10/750 presribed by my doc. Of course he wasn't prescribing that on the bottle, but he was giving me 150,10/750 pills with 2 refills once a month. You do the math.On the bottle he had 1-2 tablets every 4 to 6 hours. Most pharmacies will not refil to soon but the Wagreens I went to had no problem. Long story short, I went on a binge and now am starting into withdrawal hell. Last nigh was the sweats, tonight should me leg cramps and muscle aches to the point i want to crawl out of my skin. Before being prescribed Vicodine i had Ultram (Tramadol) I tried taking it earlier....NOTHING. U Can't Take more than 300 mg at most.

    • Dude! Far be it for me to judge anybody,....but 30 10/750 hydro's per day?!!! WTF?! I can hardly believe that, my friend. You were putting 300 mg of hydro and 22,500 mg of tylenol into yourself per day?! The tylenol alone should have put your body into toxic shock. The FDA recommends no more than 4,000 mg of APAP per day. You were popping six times that amount? If your telling the truth, then you are plain lucky to be alive. That is an incredible amount of APAP!
Anyway, its no wonder that you could feel the Tramadol work. Tramadol is not quite as strong , and your body must have been saturated with hydro & APAP. I sure hope that you quit taking so much. I am NOT a doctor, but that is WAY too much . I wonder how long it took you to build up such a tolerance. The most I have ever done was 12 10/500 per day, and that was only occasionally.
I have since gone on a hydro taper along with tramadol to help with the taper. I am almost down to the recommended dosage or 3-4 a day. Good Luck to U

    • It depends on the person taking it, like any drug. I am about 5' - 6" and 110 pounds on a good day, so maybe I "feel" it more. I've been taking it for a couple of months, and it definitely makes me feel relaxed.

    • you are totally wrong and an f ing drug addict i take tramadol and have been for 7 yrs now with no major side effects for my periferal neuropathy and it has been a miracle drug for me my restless leg was so bad i was going to put a gun to my head untill i found tramadol.By the way people my problems were caused by alcohol abuse that causes the coating of your nerves to wear away. alcohol is a very big scurge on our society i take 3 a day with ecellent results you must eat when you take them and drink at least 2 8 ounce glasses of water to keep from getting toxic you dont want to take ultram because of the tylenol in it and have not had to increse my dosage so its ignorant dumbshits like you and the other abusers here that make it hard for the people that really need it like me to survive to get it keep you ignorant skewed oppinon to yopur self you moron
