AC or DC? length of wire? Amperage (load) by the device? continous or intermittent load? Where will the wire run alone or in a bundle of other wires?
Your best bet is find an aircraft mechanic or a copy of FAA's AC43.13A which will give you the information to determine the wire size for either AC or DC circuits.
