You're reading I often hear people argue on AB that the government is violating the Constitution by passing a law. However, these people rarely articulate what provision of the Constitution is being violated. Can anyone list some examples of violations?
Comments
This is incorrect. The Constitution, when drafted, only applied to the federal government. Some of the Amendmenst have later been applied (i.e. incorporated) to the states by the 14th Amendment. However, the 2nd Amendment was never incorporated to the states. Thus, it does not prevent a state from banning guns.
