What variety of poker is easiest for beginners to learn?

    While 5-card draw is probably the easiest to deal with simply due to the fewer number of cards, it's not commonly played anymore. 5-card draw is what we all learned as kids, and if you don't take the intricacies of betting and playing for money into account, Texas Hold'em is also easy to play to just learn the basics.
