I think that would be up to what is outlined in the CC&R's, The By-Laws and the Operating Rules of that particular association. Just as any private company can hire a felon if it wishes to, I suppose any condo association board can allow a felon to serve on that board as well. :)

How do you get the hoa to review or revise existing rules? Does a petition work? Is there ever an exeption to rules already in place?
