Help answer this question below.

Do you think that most of the issues concerning Hispanic illegal immigration are the result of classism? Noone who debates immigration seems to care about the illegal European immigrants (and my Asian friends don't care about the illegal Asians).

    well, first generation immigrants from all different backgrounds did not speak English immediately. Many legal immigrants don't speak English, and many illegals do. I understand your point, but do a little research on NAFTA and maquilladoras and past politics concerning Mexican immigration (until a couple decades ago, the government encouraged illegal immigration because of the cheap labor ... for the most part, it still does) may help you to understand why this is happening. also, the mexican government encourages mexicans to come here illegally. please try to understand that the people are being manipulated by two corrupt governments, and truly are just trying to feed their families and make good lives for themselves ... many have no understanding of the political situation. not all people are good, and i know some people are trying to take advantage of the system, but most are not.

    • I am fine with anyone from any country coming here to work, while they are here they need to pick up some car and medical insurance or suffer the consequences. that will cut down on the hit and runs were I live and if the ER is going to give out free medical services at the very least it should be to an American and not an illegal alien. out.

    • I believe there is an element of corruption with both U.S. govt /corporations and Mexican elites

      U.S. employers benefit by avoiding labor laws, minimum wage, Work Comp, etc.

      Mexican elite ship their sick, poor, uneducated out of their country. That way they don't pay for job creation, infrastructure, hospitals, unions etc for their own and then the illegals send back tons of $$$ to Mexico.

      The illegals are pawns. So is the American taxpayer , who foots the bills for health services, education, police, prisons, etc.

      There are sound economic reasons why immigration l aws exist and why every country (especially Mexico - check their Southern border) has them.
