If a window is open when the air conditioning is running, is the exhaust from this air conditioner harmful to the persons in the house?

    No. It's nothing but air which is being blown across the condenser coils.

    Pearl49-My answer doesn't mention the harm to your budget which might be caused by running the air conditioner with a window open. You are adding to the air conditioner's load by allowing additional hot, humid air in--similar to leaving the window open in winter when the heat's running. You might be better off to open the windows at night if it's cool enough to turn off the A/C, and close them when the A/C is on.

    • Thank you for your answer!!! I love to have my windows open. I live in an appartment and the AC is under my window. Only one is on 24/7 and husband fault that I was harming my self. I not!!!! Thank YOu
