Help answer this question below.

My girlfriend expressed interest in having me perform anal sex on her, both orally and penetrative. What precautions should we take, so as that I don't hurt her or put my health at risk?

    When you perform analingus on her (oral sex on the anus), you should make sure that she has done the following:

    1)Showered and THOROUGHLY cleansed her anus with strong, anti-bacterial soap

    2)Has not had a bowel movement in the last 8-12 hours, or anticipate a bowel movement during the analingus(the stimulation may cause her to suddenly evacuate)

    3)Used a cleaning Enema, if necessary...usually the best way of assuring a clean anus

    4)She has not had diarrhea within the past 48 hours, since the harmful bacteria may still linger despite thorough cleansing

    5)Used specially formulated anal wipes before AND after her shower (baby wipes work well)

    Make sure you follow these procedures:

    1)Keep your tongue movements OUTSIDE the anus

    2)If you penetrate, do NOT penetrate too far...the risk to your health is too great

    3)Do NOT do it if you notice an odor, which will indicate uncleanliness

    4)Use a 'bridge' if necessary (tongue condom)

    5)Do not force your tongue inside since you may cause tearing

    As for penetration, make sure she follows all the guidelines for cleanliness. You should then follow these techniques:

    1)Do NOT force an insertion. The anus is tight and will need to be considerably loosened

    2)Use a condom to prevent fecal matter from getting on your penis

    3)Use a strong, slick lubricant (non flavored, non colored)

    4)Use a pre-lubricated condom

    5)Penetrate SLOWLY. It will take a while for her anus to open wide enough to accept your penis, and if you thrust forcefully you can hurt her greatly


    If you are planning this beforehand, have her practice on herself to widen her anus. She can penetrate herself with her finger and carefully thrust in and out to widen the opening for you. Also make sure she follows all the cleanliness guidelines. She should use a fair amount of lubricant on her finger to do this. She may also practice with a dildo or vibrator if she has one, though dildos are usually unrealistically wide and large, which would probably lead to injury.

    Make sure she prepares herself and you should both have a very good time. Women experience alot of stimulation from their anus, much more than would be expected.

    • Good suggestions on the practicing with the dildo, and although the other suggestions were good I have to say that if any of the other stuff were to occur (ie:getting fecal matter on his penis, tongue, etc) it doesn't necessarily mean he'll get sick or infected. Now I don't wanna come off as careless, I do like your advice, but I just wanted to say that a lot of people do do this kinda stuff more 'dirty' and it doesn't negatively them :)

    • yeah that was kinda funny. i wish a tongue on the outside was so intense that anything that serious would happen, but... i need the penetration (starting with a tongue! and yes im clean!!)

      dildos unrealistically wide? ha! I go to 'women's sexual health' stores and all the dildoes are way smaller than my guy, its ridiculous. some of us arent prisses, we actually like to be fucked!! jeesh!

      otherwise, not bad, if a slight tad alarmist on the cleanlyness side of things... esp if the guy and girl are living together, just make sure she hasnt been ill recently or you'll just end up getting it too.

      also: wow super old question here, what suddenly brought it back up? :)
