  • Well, unlike what was done to John McCain, these "enhanced interrogation techniques" don't break your bones, they don't kill you, they don't leave you unable to raise your arms to your shoulders, they don't leave you unable to walk, they don't make you sick and then leave you lying in your own vomit and feces until you develop bedsores from it, they don't involve being held out of helicopters at 1000 ft and being threatened with being dropped, they don't involve starvation or water deprivation. All they involve is being blindfolded and having water poured on your face. I don't doubt they are unpleasant and fear inducing. They do not, however, do permanent harm.

    • Yes, and they were certainly taken from me too. Once again, the tolerance police have struck.

    • I hear ya, I've also been the victim of the point police. Good thing they don't have thumb screws, I get the feeling that they would like to use them. It's terrible how people will react to the truth when they don't like what the truth is.

    • BC10, point well made. Not actually physical torture as such but more mental. Certainly doesn't feel good but...you would be able to get up and walk out the door if let loose.
