Help answer this question below.

How can I get my kitten to stop biting? Is there a form of punishment that does not involve physical contact?

    If your kitten starts to bite while you are petting her face, put your finger in her mouth and tickle the roof4 of her mouth. Cats hate that and will immediately stop biting. You have to be consistent about it and never let your kitten use your hands as a plaything.

    • Agreed. Hands are for petting, toys are for playing. Wrestling with bare hands encourages biting. If I don't have a toy nearby, though, I just put my hand under a thick blanket so kitty can attack the lump and I am protected from scratches.
