Their may be a little noise from it, the battery will slowly die, things like the tach and speedo might not work properly and everything will be dim. I am well versed in this area, feel free to ask more.

    • about 4 moths ago our Ford F 350 15 passenger van started to have problems starting when i would go to start it the lights and radio would work for a short time and then go off and the speedometer went a little weird also so we had the dealer look at it and they couldn't find anything wrong. We asked them to check the alternator and they said it was ok. So about a week before Christmas the van started to give us problems again it would require a jump start at least once a week. Until last week when it would not even take a jump so we replaced the battery with a new one. We then started to notice the lights dim and the fan for the heater slow down when we accelerate the car or when we are stopped at a red light.
